Advanced Open Water Take your skills to the next level! The south corners of Monterey Bay and its open coast companion, Big Sur, are noted for crystal clear waters, abundance of marine life, and unparalleled diversity of bottom topography. The very characteristics that make this area so beautiful also make it relatively inaccessible to the unprepared diver. The nature of the Advanced Open Water (AOW) program is to give you the SCUBA tools necessary to safely and enjoyably explore this area of submarine excellence, as well as a broader base of supervised experience into a variety of diving adventures.
